Originally from the picturesque town of Alba, in Italy he has always had a passion for hospitality and food from a young age, initially focusing exclusively on bartending, but eventually falling in love with food and the creativity that came with it. During the beginning of his career, chef Danilo had the privilege of working in the kitchens of renowned Italian hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants. Take the opportunity to be mentored and trained by world-renowned Italian chefs, Chef Marco Pedretti, legendary Chef Gualtiero Marchesi, and Michelin-starred Chef Damiano Nigro have been some of the big names Chef Danilo has had the privilege of working with. During his training with chef Gualtiero he began his passion for global cuisine. He worked with the 3 Michelin star Chef Enrico Bartolini at Cavenago di Brianza at the Hotel Devero. In 2016 Chef Enrico sent him to open the Roberto’s restaurant in Abu Dhabi together with Chef Francesco Guarracino as sous chef and then became head chef of the restaurant in the capital before moving on to lead the Dubai branch in 2020. Under Chef Francesco’s leadership, Chef Danilo’s passion and experience for gastronomy evolved as he discovered new techniques, flavors, and experiences. After holding the title of Head Chef at Roberto’s in Dubai, Chef Danilo was appointed Executive Chef of the renowned venue in February 2023. His culinary style is full of contemporary Italian dishes imbued with modern influences. He believes that a well-balanced dish should be pleasing to the eye, innovative and above all delicious.
